Solidarity for Indigenous Peoples in the Amazon

Participants will gather in a sharing circle. Together, we will discuss their ideas around standing in solidarity with Indigenous peoples far away, what they think activism for Indigenous rights can look like. Experience a short sound experience/sound bath of what an Indigenous territory from the Amazon sounds like. Discuss and show our gratitude for Indigenous peoples and their work to protect nature and the world for all.

Join our sharing circle workshop “Solidarity for Indigenous Peoples in the Amazon”, where you can share your ideas around standing in support of Indigenous peoples, connect with others in the movement for Indigenous rights and feel closer to the Amazon rainforest and its people.

Bio

Paula and Juliana are both digital campaigners for Survival International, managing Survival’s social media presence, growing the international movement, and leading social media campaigns in support of peoples in Brazil, Peru, India, and several other countries. They have delivered several outreach and educational events for Survival.
Survival International is the global campaigning movement for Indigenous peoples. We work in partnership with Indigenous peoples to amplify their voices on the global stage and change the world in their favour. We won’t give up until they’re respected as contemporary societies, in control of their lives and lands, free to determine their own futures.
