Adrian Freedman

Adrian Freedman is a musician and composer specialising in the Japanese Zen shakuhachi flute.

He spent 7 years in Japan studying this music and Buddhist practices. He later lived three years in Brazil where he encountered the sacred music rituals of the forest.

Arising from his musical and spiritual journey of the past 30 years Adrian has received a collection of over 150 original songs and chants.

His shakuhachi music evokes a mood of heartfelt stillness, full of peace, spaciousness and delicate beauty.

The scope of his music is diverse, but an ineffable sense of the sacred is held throughout.
