Jon Kwan
Jon’s love affair with sound and music began 35 years ago and he has been playing and composing ever since. After many years of studying and training in various systems of wellbeing, self-care and spirituality, sound and music have become the primary tools he uses to help people to relax, gain insights and develop clarity.
Jon’s music takes inspiration from Buddhism and Nature. Jon will perform a series of songs inspired by the The Root Text of the Seven Points of Training the Mind by Chekawa Yeshe Dorje, in the lineage of Atisha.
Inspired by Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche’s teachings and commentary on this text, this undertaking has been authorised by senior Tibetan Buddhist teachers Lelung Rinpoche and Ling Rinpoche.
DHARMA SOUND JOURNEY FOR GROUNDING AND CENTRING
We begin with a series of warm ups, breathing exercises and meditation to remove physical tensions and blocks, warm up the body and bring ourselves into the moment as a preparation for the therapeutic sounds.
Working intuitively, Jon’s sound meditations can feature the rattle, breath, voice, chimes, flute, bowls and other instruments to leave you grounded, centred and clear.
Sound meditations use vibrational healing methods to improve your health and wellbeing at the levels of mind, body and energy. The frequencies and vibrations will permeate every cell and fibre of your body and send you on a deep journey and reveal precious insights, ultimately producing a deep sense of presence, relaxation and calmness.
