Jont is singer-songwriter and front man of Jont & The Fish, a gatherer of community and a longtime organiser of joy-filled ceremonies and musical events.

Jont’s music has always been a beacon to those who are looking for support and comfort. Over the years the style and genre of his albums has shifted back and forth from acoustic and intimate to orchestrated and upbeat, but the feel and message of Jont’s songs remains the same: deeply personal and effortlessly universal, each one is a hallelujah for this life we share, declaring implicitly – you are me and I am you.

2025 sees Jont delivering the most powerful work of his career – the kind of authentic, biting, truthful and mature work that comes from an artist reaching the height of their powers. Write Your Own Healing/Empowering Song with Jont 

Over the last 30 years, singer-songwriter and poet Jont has been connecting to his heart and declaring the truth of what he finds there, however intimate and vulnerable and sharing it through his open-hearted songs. He loves nothing more than to share some of the techniques he has learnt to allow these songs to flow through and to help others learn how to receive these transmissions from spirit so that they can receive the profound healing that comes from writing and singing your own personal song. In his workshops Jont engenders a chilled and fun atmosphere and spends some time one-on-one with everyone so that he can best help them to bring through a song that can be useful and meaningful to them. It is a co-created experience and of course Jont cannot guarantee that your song will come through in the exact period of time of the workshop, but either way, for those who are new to songwriting and at the start of their journey of connecting to their heart and expressing their truth, this is a beautiful way to spend a couple of hours.

If you play an instrument then please bring your instrument as you will be coming up with the music for the song and then playing the song yourself on your instrument. If you don’t play an instrument please either connect with someone who does and you can come and write the song together; OR depending on numbers, Jont will help create the music for the song on his guitar and then record it onto the voice note recorder on your phone so that you have something to write to. On the evening of Friday 25th July Jont will be playing a short concert and all those who would like to sing their new song to the community will have the opportunity to play their song before Jont plays his concert.
