Project Description

Jote Prakash Singh

Jote Prakash Singh Khalsa has spent much of his life craving elevation and ecstatic states. From being young and finding it through high-octane extreme sports such as parkour and skateboarding to being a teenager and looking for it through drugs and alcohol. After a spiritual awakening that was un-grounded and happened too quickly (the doctors called it psychosis, we call it ‘The Big Trip’) he was gifted the chance to do Kundalini Yoga Teacher Training at The Rising Dawn Sanctuary; a Whole-istic Centre Jote Prakash and his Mum have set up in East Yorkshire. And so, through the practice, at age 18, he came to the realisation that all the joyful and heightened states in the Universe can be inspired within ourselves – he still loves parkour of course but the drugs and alcohol have been shown the door. Jote Prakash also loves Yoga and Meditation, Martial Arts, Capoeira, Breakdancing, Chanting with his guitar and raving hard just using his breath.

MEN’S CIRCLE – with Jote Prakash and Ben

A space to sit in circle with men as brothers and ground the energy of masculinity – we will talk about how to embody the tender masculine and have a chance to express stagnant emotions in a contained and sacred space.

We will have a chance to speak about all of our gifts, talents, skills and things we love doing – working on a contemplation of self development and how to fully express our highest self.

We’ll send off prayers by offering wood to the fire for what we want to bring into our lives, a prayer for the world. All brothers are welcome in this deeply healing and powerful space.

A chance for simplistic, gentle connection and blending to One’sSelf, our inner child, each other, The Earth and the Cosmos.

We will find out what blocks us from our essential playful nature and engage in some Heart-Centred Tantric practices – meditation, movement, playful games, eye gazing and breathing exercises – to unblock ourselves and become free.

Learn about the Wheel of Consent.

Take an adventure with your inner child.

Connect with another soul, heart to heart.

When we are in physical, mental, or emotional pain, we often turn to outside sources for relief. These external outlets can easily become addictions. If we are not addicted to smoking, eating, drinking, drugs, or social media, then we can be addicted subconsciously to acceptance, advancement, rejection, emotional love, etc.

Kundalini Yoga and meditation practice is highly effective in helping us change these self-defeating habit patterns. It does not mask the pain, but helps us to uncover and release pain and trauma. It gives us the space to heal, to experience who we truly are, and connect with our unlimited soul.
