Project Description

A Death Cafe is a group directed discussion of death with no agenda, objectives or themes.

Vee is an Integrative Counsellor. She provides counselling for a wide range of issues including specialist therapy for those struggling with grief and loss following a bereavement. Inspired by the Death Cafe movement and ethos of the Burning Man community, as well as her own experiences of grief, she created Dust2Dust. Dust2Dust offers spaces to explore death and dying with the aim of recognising the pain and sadness loss can bring as well as the opportunity to honour and celebrate life.

Death Cafe

A Death Cafe is a group directed discussion of death with no agenda, objectives or themes.

Talking about death can be taboo, families and friends may avoid the topic. Death Cafe offers the opportunity to explore death in an accessible, respectful and confidential way. Death Cafe isn’t grief counselling or therapy (although it can be therapeutic). Instead it’s a space where we can talk about death and dying, as a reminder to make the most of our finite lives.

We normally enjoy refreshing drinks and nourishing food at a Death Cafe. As we will be meeting on Zoom this time, you are warmly welcomed to bring your own.

We look forward to seeing you there.
