Summer Gathering 2023

Wasing Park, Friday 21st – Sunday 23rd July

144 Spaces Available

Calling young adults who want to dive deep, explore things that really matter and widen the horizon!

Are you a conscious soul who wants to help create a better world?

Would you like to experience more meaning, connection and joy in your life?

Wider Horizons nurtures an intention for transformation, catalysed by innovative workshops, sacred ceremony and mellifluous music to inspire you with the knowledge, energy and self-belief to step into your true self and embrace life with optimism and trust.

Join us at Wider Horizons and explore cutting-edge discoveries in spirituality, science, philosophy, health and well-being!

The Workshops

The workshops are designed to help you open new parts of yourself. The contributors include doctors, lecturers, shamans and practitioners from a variety of healing disciplines. You are able to choose from a diverse programme that includes lucid dreaming, expressive dance, individual and group healing, shared story-writing, yoga and sacred singing. As well as learning new skills, you will have opportunities to explore questions about who we are and the mysteries of consciousness and our relationship with the physical world. Alternative views of the nature of mind and the universe will be presented.

“Do what calls your heart; effective action comes from love. It is unstoppable, and it is enough.” – Joanna Macy

The Location

Wider Horizons Summer Gatherings are held at Wasing Park in a beautiful glade surrounded by ancient woodland, wild swimming lakes and wildlife, just 45 minutes from London. Workshops and gatherings are held in a giant yurt, incredible geodome and a magnificent stretch marquee, as well as in the open air.

The Journey

The vision quest combines an inward journey into yourself and an outward journey into nature. It involves finding a space in nature to forest bathe, meditate and receive a vision of what to transform and what to bring into your life to liberate and empower you. There will be a ritual nature immersion journey through the woods, culminating in a celebration around the fire.

Accommodation

There is ample space for tents, campervans and caravans and offsite local accommodation options.

We have glamping bell tents available for £200  (Includes two single raised airbeds, with hotel grade linen, pillow, blanket for each bed, bedside table, lamps and carpet)  Please have a look here for pics of the bell tents

We have double beds for £230 in a luxurious apartment called “The Bothy” with two double bedrooms.  You will be sharing the flat with another couple, so ideally book this with a couple who are friends.

Please have a look here for pics of the apartment

Depending on the weather you may be able to drive on and drop your camping kit.  Please park at the top of camping field. Please don’t keep cars in the camping area.  Campervans can be parked along the hedge in the lovely shade at the bottom of the hill close to the gathering, as long as it does not rain heavily.  If it rains heavily campers will have to go at the top of the hill.  This is because they can get stuck in the mud at the bottom.

Heated outdoor showers provide for an authentic woodland experience.  Culinary delights are prepared in an outdoor kitchen by our experienced outdoor chef and the ticket price is inclusive of food and drinks for three days.  All food and drinks are vegan.  Evening celebrations involve music, singing, drumming and dancing around the fire. Bring instruments, drums, percussion and your dancing feet.
